The Pony Club is a National Organisation aimed at helping children with their ponies, providing social and educational activities and fun for all.
The local branch can cater also for children who do not own ponies, but are interested in the pastime.
There are many local members and local instructors. Events and training sessions are mostly arranged at venues in the Stamfordham area. The Club has no permanent site, but uses any piece of land which is offered and is suitable for ponies. Mounted events take place from Easter to October, mostly during school holidays, and at weekends during term time. Unmounted events take place during the winter, sometimes using Stamfordham Village Hall.
