Village Hall Accommodation
The Hall consists of the following:
Main Entrance Situated on the North (car
park) side of the building , it has a carpeted lobby . From this,
there is access to toilets, Main Hall, Stage and West End
accommodation and a small cloakroom.
Main Hall:
- The main floor is of hardwood and suitable
for dancing (57' x 19.5').
- The Extension on south side, open plan to
main floor, is carpeted (53' x 15').
- At the west end of main floor is the
stage, approx. 19.5' wide x 13' (extendable to 17') deep.
- Lighting : Main areas are lit by
fluorescents. The Main Hall floor area also has small
downlighters giving a subdued effect.
- Stage lighting : Standard four downlighters. Limited Theatre
lighting is available. See "Equipment

- There is a large
Kitchen/Bar at the east end with cooking facilities, hot
water, two sinks and wash handbasin, paper hand towels, automatic (continuous use) 18litre water boiler, large
refrigerator, etc.
West Room 28' x 20'
floor area, carpeted. Lighting is a double set of downlighters,
one set dimmable. There are coatpegs in adjacent corridor.
- There is a Kitchen/Bar
adjacent [via door and hatch] with cooking
facilities, crockery warmer, sink, wash handbasin, hot
water, paper hand towels, extractor fan, automatic (continuous use) 18litre water boiler, under-bench refrigerator and an industrial dishwasher.
Lees Room : 18' x 13.5',
carpeted. Contains IT Suite. Suitable as small meeting venue
(usable area 14.5' x 13.5').
All three main
areas [Main Hall, West Room and Lees Room] are accessible
separately from the outside, including for wheelchairs, and may
be used separately or in conjunction with each other. A
purpose-built toilet for the disabled is situated in the West end
entrance Hall.

Equipment
Available
- Stage Lighting consists of 4.9kW from front lighting bar,
1.3 kW from overstage. It is
available for a small hiring fee .
- Sound System.There are
speakers,which are selectable, in the Main Hall and
extension, and in the West Room, all supplied by a single
mono amplifier. The Main Hall has an audio loop for the
hearing impaired with suitable hearing aid facility. It
may be set, together with a fixed microphone, amplified
through the speaker system. This fixed microphone and
audio loop is FREE for use by hirers. A radio (roving)
microphone is available for use by special request.It is
available for a small hiring fee.
- Small hifi system (Tuner, CD and tape players) with speakers. This is a self-contained unit which does not play through the fixed sound system.Suitable for background music, etc.
- Portable screen for film or slide projection. 5 ft. square (nominal).
- Chairs : 150
- Tables : 16 x 8-place and 6 x 2- or 3-place
aluminium/melamine folding type ; 10 small steel/melamine
which are convertible to 10 circular tables (each seating

- Cutlery and Crockery(Eternal
Beau by Johnson).
- Market Stalls.
Chairs, tables, cutlery,
crockery are included with any hired accommodation, but these and
market stalls may be hired for external events. See Hiring Fees for charges.
